ABOUT the PROGRAM

Our 6-week group therapy program combines the healing power of the ocean with a unique group therapy experience. At the heart of our practice is a commitment to holistic well-being. Our therapists blend their passion for the ocean with a deep understanding of the therapeutic benefits it offers.

We integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic-based healing practices into each session, combining the proven efficacy of these traditional therapeutic techniques with the dynamic healing environment of the sea.

Through our tailored 6-week program, we guide the group on a unique path of self-discovery, resilience, and inner balance. Our approach goes beyond traditional therapy, immersing participants in the dynamic rhythm of the sea to foster mental and emotional well-being.   • According to the International Surf Therapy Organization, Surf Therapy is a method of intervention combining surf instructing/surfing and structured individual or group activities that promote psychological, physical and psychosocial well-being. For us, surf therapy is a way to dive deeper into our recovery journey.

  • No! This program will teach you the foundations and basics of surfing and how to paddle out on your own. If you already have a surf practice, read the next FAQ.

  • Yes! Our program is designed to connect people from all walks of life using surfing and the ocean. People can make new friends, learn about wellbeing, and focus on being the best version of themselves – all while surfing!

  • We highly recommend you attend every session to receive the full experience. But we understand that life happens. If you miss a session, we will still provide an opportunity for you to check in with our surf sponsors and provide you with the homework so you can stay!

  • We provide all gear for you! If you have your own wetsuit and/or board we highly recommend bringing it with you!

  • The only requirement for joining is that you show up to session with at least 24HRS of sobriety. This program is suited to the wider community to provide a healthy outlet for connection.
